Counselling

Person-centred, body-aware support

A confidential and compassionate space where you can explore what you are experiencing, at your own pace. Through conversation and attention to both emotional and bodily experience, counselling can support greater awareness, choice and connection with yourself.

ACC Sensitive Claims & private sessions.

Therapeutic wellbeing groups

Connection, reflection & shared experience

Spaces to pause, connect and explore alongside others. Through conversation, reflection, body awareness, nature and shared experiences, each group offers a different opportunity for connection and personal discovery. Cacao circles are one of the experiences offered.

03

Yoga, body & breath

Movement, awareness and embodied practice

A gentle, invitational approach to movement, breath and body awareness. Not about achieving a posture, but about noticing, listening and discovering what supports you in feeling more present and connected with your body.

04

Natural wellbeing

Plants, creativity & everyday care

Handmade natural products and practical workshops inspired by a simpler relationship with everyday care. A space to learn, create and reconnect with plants, nature and meaningful rituals.

There is no single way back to ourselves.

Sometimes we begin with words.
Sometimes with the body.
Sometimes with breath, connection or nature.

Kumara was born from the belief that transformation does not begin by fixing what is broken, but by creating enough space to listen to what is already alive within us.

Like the sweet root growing quietly beneath the earth, we can transform what feels dense, nourish what needs care and, in our own time, begin to flower.

“What grows in the depths can become nourishment. What was hidden can begin to flower.”

Rooted in who you are.
Growing in your own way.

Meet Macarena

Clinical experience.
A wider way of listening.

For more than 15 years, Ana Macarena Fernandez has accompanied people through vulnerability, change and transformation. Her professional journey began in medicine and psychiatry in Argentina, with experience across mental health, sexuality, addictions and community care.

Over time, her work expanded around a deeper question: what helps each person reconnect with themselves?

Today, her counselling practice in Aotearoa is grounded in a person-centred approach, with attention to the relationship between emotions, the body and lived experience. Her wider work also draws from yoga, breath, group experiences and connection with nature.

Rather than assuming there is one way forward, Macarena believes in meeting each person where they are and discovering together what feels meaningful, possible and genuinely their own.
